The Sims 3: Freezing Constantly
Hoping someone can help me out here.
I bought this game for my wife a few days ago for an early Christmas gift, backed it up on the drive & it's constantly freezing on her. For instance when she creates a sim & tries to change the nose the game locks up & she has to hold the power button on the wii & start over. So then she decided to not worry about changing the nose & just play. Well it still keeps freezing at random times. The original disc isn't as bad with "freezing", but still very buggy to the point that it's nearly un-playable. I know I read some of the reviews on Amazon & EA's website that this game is ridiculously full of bugs, but I have never seen anyone having the same problem with the nose thing.
I haven't played the game myself (which I will try tonight to see it first hand), but when she told me about it, at first I thought "okay I'll just use a different cIOS". I tried 249, 222 & 250. Neither have worked.
Has anyone else had this issue with the game or have any suggestions on how to get it to work?
Here is my current set-up:
Wii = Softmodded
Menu version = 4.3u
cIOS = 249 v19
USB Loader GX
EDIT: I just thought of trying to back up the game again & see if that helps at all before I try anything too extreme here. Maybe it was just a bad rip. It's a long shot, but atleast then I'll know.

Reason: Thoght of something to try to fix the issue
For me, on 4.2E, it is not as bad as you discribe, but still anoying.
I guess it is a memory issue.
Nothing wrong with your cios or loaders, that game is just THAT bugged. Its terrible that they actually released that trash for the wii. Instead I would suggest MySims, not as many features for sure but loads less glitches. I sent a letter to EA requesting a full price refund with my reciept and the many reasons why I wanted a full refund.
It is indeed incredibly buggy, and stripped down compared to the PC version. I wonder why I still bother to try EA games. But that is probably the reason they still exist.
Anyway, with more free mem blocks and no fastforwarding, and regular saving, I don't have any freezes...
