    WiiKey 2 Startup Problem

    Thanks to all who read...

I installed the WiiKey 2 in a brand new D2E unit. I have connected +3v, Gnd, A,B,C,G. I have verified 3.3v on the WiiKey 2 board. Using a continuity meter, I verified good connections and no shorts with all surrounding pins/traces on the drive.

On power up I see the WiiKey's LED's go red for a second, then quickly through a Blue, Red, Blue, off sequence. The Wii comes up and asks me to press A to identify the controller, I press A and hear the bong. It moves to the language selection screen and English is pre-selected. From this point I cannot move to another language or to confirm to continue.

The drive does accept disc's and I hear them spin up with no problem.

Since the original install, I have taken everything back apart to verify proper voltages and re-check wire landings. All are correct.

I would appreciate any help you can give.

    Thanks.

(BTW, this is a Yellow Sticker WiiKey 2)

    DOH!

Alright, I will open myself up to the torture.

Apparently these things called Wii's have a Sensor Bar that needs to be plugged in. Its amazing how much better the remotes work with it.

Alright, let the noob have it.......
