Help and advice for a total noob please!
Hi all, this is my first post so please bare with me as i am trying to learn about this Wii business
I got my Wii (PAL) chipped at the weekend 'D2PRO9 V3'.
The guy put the Homebrew channel on also.
I used 'imgburn' to burn a PAL ISO and put it in the console.
I got the 'update' message so i just switched off the console - worried i might break it.
I burned another PAL ISO and that one worked fine.
What's the story with the 'update' message? Is it OK to accept the update or not ?
At the moment i am only burning PAL ISO's, is it OK to try NTSC ones?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as i am totally new to this.
NTSC is fine to PLAY, update no, just use brick block
PAL you can update all you want, but once you hit 3.3v2 you get a fake sign bug, which you must patch, or you cant play edited games you install that via Homebrew channel
overall i think you need THIS
thanks for the quick reply, i'll have a read through that lot.
The guy who did the mod, said that he had put the latest firmware on.
Is there a way of finding out what version it is via the console?
the latest d2pro i think use a ulity disc you can try that, or theres a iso you can download/install to find out mod info for D2pro, but thats about all i know all info on is their site
So for NTSC iso's, use brickblock first then burn to DVD but dont update?

brickblock removes the update
later on in a 3.3 update they made it so if you dont have the offical nintendo sign *meaning nothing was edited on the iso, its exactly the same as the real deal* it wont run, so you have to patch 3.3 or stay on 3.2
nice one mate, that's got me off and running
i'll leave you alone... for now
one more, is it not worth while running brickblock on all iso's before burning just to be on the safe side?
you can do it on them all, it makes no difference, just keep up with what people say because youll need IOS's and stuff later on
