You could rip the hard drive out of the PC, put it in an HDD enclosure, partition/format it however you like, and then use it. You might get lucky and find that it works.
ok I have a hdd pluged in to my wii...my question is I have a old pc thats not being used is there anyway i could format my old pc and use it on the wii to store backups and music and movies via usb cable?
I'd thought of that...but be a pain to have to change it all the time...so if I hook my pc with usb and formatted it with wbfs on my laptop it will not work on my wii?
Or is it worth a try?
I'm pretty sure it won't work. I've never personally tried but I've also never heard of anyone successfully pulling it off. I'm pretty sure the HDD has to be directly connected to the Wii in order to make it work.
alrighty well i guess I'll try i'm no computer jock however I'll give her a try..and see what I get.
