Lightbulb How to create a new partition into a WBFS drive

    Hi everyone!!

My name is Nicolās, iīm from Argentina, it`s a great pleasure to be here...

I need assistant... i have an external HDD Iomega 500Gb. It`s a great HDD... totally recommended.

My mistake was to formatt the entire disk to WBFS. Know i need to use part of the disk, to store music and movies and i donīt had a clue on how to achieve it.

Can someone enlight me and explain, how can i create a new partition (NTFS or FAT itīs the same), without erasing or losing any of my games?

    Thanks a lot!!!

Hope you have a great day!

You would have to move the data off of your drive while you re-partition/re-format it to keep it safe. Before I knew any better I tried expanding the WBFS partition after shrinking the FAT partition on my drive. Needless to say everything got all screwed because WBFS doesn't play nice with normal PC partitioning/formating tools. I had to dump everything on the drive, reformat it after I set up the proper size partitions I wanted, and re-rip all of my games. It was a pain in the butt! I might have been able to recover the data I lost with a hex editor because it all still had to be there but I didn't want to go through the hassle for something that I wasn't 100% sure would work about so I just started over.

You don't really have another option other than basically wiping out what you have, reformat, amd reload all of those original disc that you must have. However you do it, you should just make it all fat32 and do away with wbfs partition.
