Question about NAND backup
OK, bear with me. I have limited knowledge on how BootMii does this.
When I make a NAND backup (after checking the blocks), does it:
1.) Backup/restore the state of the device? So in other words, if I brick, I can simply restore the Wii to its original working state with all the softmod elements in place and working again.
2.) Backup/Restore the original Wii files. These may include channels, programs, data files etc. But may not include the configuration files, custom IOSe, or anything from the softmod.
3.) Backup/restore specific files. Such as ones that I haven't listed.
In other words, I'm asking how strong of a backup a NAND backup is? So I know if I can recover to a working, softmodded Wii from a bricked Wii quickly or not.

A nand backup with bootmii as boot2 will get you out of 99.9% of bricks.
The backup will take you back to when ever you took it.
So if you did it after the softmod then you will be able to restore it to that position

I update my nand backup every time Iīm going to install or uninstall ios, wads or system menus.... that way I donīt loose all my progress in games.
I've made a NAND back-up once before modding my wii, and I back-up my save with SaveGame Manager GX everytime I progress in a game.

That depends on how many games you have to copy save files of.
