How do i remove ICONS from main wii screen?

I have 3 icons for USB Loader on my main screen how do i remove them so i only have 1?

I also have CONFIG USB loader icon will the 2 apps conflict?

I have noticed that icon 1 loads my HD but freezes my wii when i try to return to the main menu, icon 2 shows error message saying waiting for slow disc then i get the waiting for slow device screen with 10 sec countdown, THIS is the reason i want to take one of them off, after the 10 sec countdown my wii returns to the main menu

    Please help

Are these channel forwarders or channel installs (wads)? Generally, if on the Wii System Menu itself you'd use wad manager and change to "uninstall" and selecting the appropriate, previous wad you installed. That's the "clean" way to remove them.

You weren't clear on Config USB... you mention two icons and either freezes or no HD; for Config or for? Cile's got a guide for a proper install of this application.

Thanks for reply Nightstah...i ran mod manager to uninstall 1 USB loader and the CONFIG loader icon, this left me with 1 USB loader icon....i ran the USB loader and still got the error message about slow disk so i then took USB off my wii altogther and restarted it. Upon restarting i installed only 1 USB loader wad and it allowed me to access my HD, HOWEVER when i try to return to my wii main menu i get a black screen and the wii freezes

ERROR MESSAGE when loading USB loader to access HD to play games:

    loading into IOS 236
    Starting u p
    Initializing Controllers
    Initializing USB (wake up)
    reloading into IOS 249...........0
    Init wbfs......-1
You have issues with a slow disc, or a difficult disk
    Reloading 222..............

HD does not load, power light on drive goes out

    Anyone help?

Which softmod guide did you follow --- I hope a wiihacks one. You've not given me much to work with, perhaps doing a SysCheck as described here and posting the results in-thread.

You used mauifrog's guide. That being said, your IOS 36 is different than his "customized" one. Your IOS 60 doesn't match his guide. IOS 70 and 80 are "wrong" in there's no patches and don't match his IOS report in post #1 and the revisions are wrong (not his customized ones there, either). This kind of oversight likely is causing the problems you've mentioned, especially without a Trucha-signed System Menu IOS (70 for your 4.2)

No, he messed a few things up; review my comments and compare his signcheck against mauifrog's in his guide.
