Ca Black freezing on neogamma and can't update the softmod

I softmodded my wii last December and have been using Neogamma since. Not sure what changed but a few weeks ago when loading any backup game the screen goes black and freezes and we need to unplug power to reset. I have searched the site and found many great ideas but am still stumped. Am not connected to the internet so there was no update made to any sys files.
I have tired updating the softmod by installing cIOS38 ver17 but my remote freezes in HBC so I can't actually go any further. I tried syncing the remotes but this didn't help
    I am using 4.2
    Here is my syscheck

I see alot "stub" and I am thinking that is not good. Should I be looking at starting at the beginning and reloading? I am stumped and am not sure what to do next. Any help is greatly appreciated ~ Thanks
