    Help Playing Backup Discs

I used the softmod for the 4.3 Wii. I have everything installed including Neogamma Disk Loader (Backup Loader R7) I am running that on R7. IOS249 (Rev 17) To be honest I don't know what any of that means.

I made the backups through Imgburn DVD-R and used 4X speed and actually tried 2X on another (Tried 4 different games). Each time I get "DVD Read Error 1101"

I am extremely new to all of this and am not too familiar with all of the terms. But if anyone could help me at all I'd really appreciate it!

You may have a dvd drive which will not allow the use of backed up discs
You can chaeck here by using your serial number Wii Drive Chip Database

If yours is a D3-2 drive you can only play your backups from a USB hard drive
    PAL 4.2E|BootMii/Boot2+IOS|Priiloader v0.5beta|HBC 1.0.8|ciosX rev20 [249/57][250/56]
    Wiiflow [rev 254]|WiiMC v1.0.9|1.5TB HDD|

Thanks for the quick response! This is the message i got when I typed in my serial number on that site. What does this mean, am I screwed?

The console has model number RVL-001(USA), produced for Mexico/Canada/USA.
    • There is a 75% chance the chipset is GC2-D4 on a smaller drive board.
    • And there is also a 25% chance the chipset is GC2-D2C (v1).

I've tried a couple other games and still the same error. If someone could help me with this issue I'd gladly donate to the site no question.

I'm using Sony DVD-R if that helps anyhow.

please use the edit button instead of replying to your own posts.

You cannot play DVD-R, you must either buy a USB HDD and load games from that.
