Moved to the Wiikey Fusion section of the site.
I have a modded Wii (Fusion chip) and I encountered some problems. I have a few games and while some play perfectly, others don't. I tried downgrading the chip firmware from 1.4 to 1.2, but it didn't help. My Wii firmware version is 4.3E. When it comes to games, so far I was not able to run both Mario Galaxies, Madworld and Monster Hunter 3, metroid prime coruption other work like a charm. Do you have any suggestions why it doesn't work ?
I really appreciate your help

i also have some backup games that dont work on dvd but sdcard there ok, have you tryed them to see if they work on sdcard.
But I AM talking about SD stored games. I don't even use physical discs. Just the SD card. My console is the d3-2 version. Any other suggestions ?
That is awesome. I never invetigated these other modchip options and only assumed they were disk-based.
playing games on the fusion sd cards very cool with the ablity to update the fusion using it makes it so much cooler. btw did i say the fusion plays backups from dvd on most drives also. well lets say most backups but then the fusion is a baby in terms of age.
it is a nice way to mod your console, we will have to see what the future holds for the problem titles but overall i am very happy with it.
For the OP:
Because the wii has to also be softmodded on 4.2 and higher for you to use the wiikey fusion or any hardware mod that is detectible by firmware. Those same liabilities of softmods are now also part of the problem you can't run certain games via hardware based solutions. It would be either custom IOS files or ones that are not installed that you can't run both Mario Galaxies. I had that issue with Monster Hunter 3 when it came out, was missing IOS files to run properly.
Hi, i had the same problem with mario galaxy and what i did was to change the settings in wbfs manager to take all partitions instead of just the game partition
