    Post your desktop

I have been pimping my desktop today, and I was a bit curious about how others people desktop looked. So, you can post a printscreen of your desktop here. Also include some information about how you made things that way, so people can copy it if they like it.

    Anyway, here is my desktop:

It is Ubuntu 10.10, using screenlets (you can install it using sudo apt-get install screenlets). I use the wallpaper clock screenlet, combined with The Black Hole wallpaper as a wallpaper. I use the ring sensor screenlet to get display CPU usage etc. The CPU ring sensor has a size of 90% and uses #00A2FE as color. The RAM ring sensor has a size of 70% and uses #FF0000 as color. The Core0 temperature ring sensor has a size of 70% and uses #FFFF00 as color. The GPU core temperature ring sensor also has a size of 70% and uses #00FF00 as color.

Nice desktop I do love space/galaxy type themes.
I only have used Ubuntu Live CD to repair windows installations never as a full OS I must say it does look really good as you have it there.
Here is my desktop but I must confess to removing all my folders/files before taking the screenshot, usually I can be pretty messy during a project (Wii Theme at the moment)

It is a windows 7 build with rocketdock (the lightsaber) a neat little program called superbar (hides the taskbar & start button) and a gadget called multimeter, which can be customised with near infinite info.

awesome thread, here you go. PS this is my windows desktop, I'll get around to posting my linux one later

The desktop is a combination of:

    Icons are ecqlipse 2.
    Wallpaper from Wallbase.
Rocketdock with the blank separator skin.
And to answer GMD's question, yes, it uses Rainmeter for system stats, calendar, weather.

    I like all of them

Here's my Windows Desktop..very clean and simple...changes a lot though (nothing was removed before screen-shot). Almost ALL Win7 features are disabled so it runs smooth as butter (yea...whatever to the Windows haters...as long as it's not MAC you're golden)

Rocket Dock (Hidden until mouse over)

If you don't have Rocket Dock...Get it NOW.

Everyone post your desktop and any Apps you use.....maybe we can start a mass list of apps/programs available to customize/change your desktop.

Maybe a possibility for a new forum if there's enough interest in the topic....or even advantages/disadvantages to certain Operating systems). Seems to be quite a bit of discussion regarding this issue in certain threads from time to time....maybe we could/should have a specific forum section for it...(GMD, Darkcide666, Narse, Nightstah, Bliepo, SarimsterX, OddGriffin...)

Also, robgeee....do you make any desktop wallpapers?

I'm down. Should we edit them into our original desktop post kind of like Bliepo did in the OP? Probably makes the most sense. I'll update mine when I get home because some things I remember off the top of my head like the actual desktop being Gnome or my monitoring software being Conky but some stuff I can't remember so easily like the code I wrote for Conky or the icon names. And when I post my Conky code don't laugh at me...It's ugly and could probably use some clean up like any code that comes out of me, but it works.
