Thread: Max HDD size?

  1. #1

    Max HDD size?

does anyone know the max size or the max working for you using softmod on usbloader? i tried a 4tb hdd i have and it gave me some 2000gb text on a black screen after the usb loader splash screen.

other threads say dont format hdd over 2tb max but im wondering if 2gb is the max that the loader can read the ntfs drive 2tb as is. i am not having any problems with a small 16gb hdd ntfs. just plug and play worked on that with making the games .wbfs in the wbfs folder placed in root of the hdd.

I have a 2TB HDD formatted FAT32 in one partition with no problems. Not really sure about 4TB, not sure if anyone has gone past 2TB.

There is no Max size for NTFS that I know of. For FAT32 the maximum is 2TB (file system limitation not a loader issue).
