How stable is USBloaderGX R938
I read about a lot of issues with R938 concerning games not working, boxart etc. Can anybody tell me how stable this version is? I updated my current version of USBloaderGX online, and noticed that it upgraded to R834 whixh is apparantly the last stable version.
To get prince of persia the forgotten sands working I installed the r938.dol file in HBC and it seems to be working fine. However I am a little bit hesitant about installing the R938.wad file given the possible impact on other games.
Anyone got some good advice
Well, in my experience...it is sort of buggy. This is with a FAT32 drive using cIOSx Rev 19 Or cIOS 222. I have removed GX from the FAt32 guide, but many people seem to use it without issue. I recommend trying Cfg loader.
Or if you are happy with GX and loading the .dol from SD card...then you can install a forwarder channel for GX which will install a channel to your wii menu and load the boot.dol just like you loaded it from HBC. This is a better option then the full channel in my opinion.
Thanks Krank, I installed the forwarder channel, it is indeed a better option
I also use usb loader gx, & have the forwader channel, not sure what version it is,but so far I have had no problems at all. It's backup all my wii games no probs. The only game it doesn't like is mario galaxy, apart from that I am very happy with it. My HDD is formatted with WBFS manager & I also use WBFS manager to extract all my wii IOS's to my pc as a backup. Just in case.
I also use usb loader gx, & have the forwader r938 it working fine for me
I spent some time testing the forwarder r938 channel and it appears to me that everything seems to be working. Boxart is downloading, Mario Galaxy and Mario Galaxy 2 are both working. Monster Hunter Tri and Guitar Hero 5 are both working. I cannot find any issues on my system.
Is it safe to assume that if the forwarder r938 is working that the r938.wad will also work?
Does anybody have any other specific issues with r938 with games that do not work?

Yes, the .wad should work fine.
