    Emulators not loading DVDs?

    Hey Wiihacks... again!

Today's problem is related to emulators and DVDs! I hate putting ROMs in my SD Card, since I don't have a SD Card reader on my PC, so I have to borrow my sister's slow, crappy and filled with useless stuff laptop, but first I need to download it, put it in the USB pendrive, go to my sister's computer, put it to the PC, then to the SD card, then delete it off her computer and etc etc.

So I decided to try burning all my ROMs into a DVD. I used a DVD-R, since that one is apparently the recommended, burned at the lowest speed (4x), but when I go to my emulators load from DVD, they all say "the format is unknown" or "error loading dvd".

Do I need anything else to actually let my Wii load DVDs? If that matters, on the Homebrew Channel installation, I did install DVDx (whatever that is...). So I come here again ask for help. Thanks,
    -Samuka97

First off, your console has to be able to actually read burnt disks, if you can play backups from them then you should be able to do it. The old way to do it was installing dvdx to allow them to be read by homebrew apps.
You should be able to go to wiibrew.com and find specific instructions for trying to do what you are doing with a particular emulator.

I've tried loading a backup from a burnt disk before, but I did it on max speed (8x) and recorded it on a DVD+R. Neogamma said something about ret -somenumber. =\
