Need a hand with running HDD games

Ok, I just finnished modding my wii (with a lot of help from this forum) and I could use a little help with my next step. I would like to make coppies (ISO's I assume) of my original Wii and GameCube games and play them from a USB drive. I've tried finding help on this forum but can't get anyone to list out the steps I need to follow, so if one exists, please just point me in that direction.

I currently have a Black Wii running v4.2U. I have HBC with Browser and have NeoGamma up and running. Below is my current sysCheck and I will answer any questions I can. Right now I only have a 1.8GB USB drive to work with (for now) so I might not be able to try things out, but I'd like to get everything ready for when I do.

Your softmods look good. You could follow the Softmod Any Wii guide in my signature to bring you a little more up to date if you wanted. You can't run GC games from a hard drive yet but if you Wii is old enough then you can run them and Wii games from a backup DVD-R. You won't be able to find many games to fit on a 1.8G drive so you might want to upgrade that.

    Good luck.

Not really many games will work with only 1.8 GB but smaller games will work. Download WBFS manager. Launch the program and once its started, pop in the usb drive (HDD or whatever it is). Actually you should first get a spare thumb drive or a new HDD as youll need to format it anyways in order to play the games. Once you got that brand new drive, use WBFS manager. Once its launched, click on the drive letter and select the drive letter for that drive. Must have the drive plugged into the pc BTW. Once that letter has been selected, click on format. Once its formatted, your ready to go. You can either take the ISO file (games) from your pc and copy them to the drive or you can rip them directly to the drive using the wii. I use usb loader gx. Get that application installed on your wii. Plug the HDD into the wii usb port (cant remember which port it needs to be in) but it must be in the correct one or else it wont work. Once you load usb loader gx, simply pop in a game, any game. If everything is working correctly, youll see a messege giving you some options. Click on rip disc (or whatever exactly it says).
If I have helped you in any way, please thank me by pressing the little thanks button.
