Thread: Black Screen on Apps

    Black Screen on Apps

    Hello,
After trying to load RedSteel from a USB the screen went black, (did not ask to update or anything) and could do nothing but power off the Wii. Also I had Enable "Block Disk Updates", and "Block Online Updates", in Priiloader.

After I powered on the Wii it starts the system menu like everything is normal but when I try to start the apps I just get a back screen. Even the Disc Channel when I put in a legit game or a back up a picture of the two discs display and they constantly spin..

I tried to install ios36-64-v3351.wad and I get “error ret -1035.

    System currently at 4.1.
Any help would be much appreciated..

    M

Ok, started Chaper1, by the way this was the guide I used to softmod my wii…
-Went to wii settings- data managment- channels- SD- Load the boot.dol
    -Multi-Mod Manager loaded
    -Selected Wad Manager
-Pressed 1 to Install all Wads

    IOS58-64-v6175.wad – Title (-1035)
    IOS61-64-v5661.wad – OK!
Final Status – 1 completed successfully
    1 did not complete.

Was only able to install IOS61.

I did not continue with the rest of install was not sure if I should or wait for further advice.

    Thanks.

    Try to reinstall the HBC
and run syscheck, you can bannerbomb it. It will scan your wii and make a cvs report. Post that report here.

OK, in HBC are your apps loading? What apps are not loading? Are your forwarders loading?

You did not run any apps prior to this issue? It happened after playing Red Steal, nothing else.

When I Start HBC I get a black screen..
NeoGamma channel I get a black screen..
wiiflow channel I get a black screen..
The Disc Channel when I put in a legit game or a back up a picture of the two discs display and they constantly spin but does not load the game..

I could not even play RedSteel, All I did was try to start in off the USB and I got a black screen and all these problems started happening..

I guess the Syscheck Report looked fine?

    Thanks for any help..

Yes your syscheck report looks fine. Run Dop-Mii_v12_CB2_BB2.zip via bannerbomb. Scan the wii. Try to load HBC, apps, etc again.

Also, turn the wii on and load the system menu. Then press [HOME], load the system menu again. Any change?

Also, hold + - and the health screen, then press A while holding. Any change?

    Extract cIOS60-v6174.zip
    and
    (4.1u)-System Menu-NUS-v449.zip

    load MMM via bannerbomb again
    Then select wadmanager
    Install cios60
    then
    SM 4.1u v449
Then press 2 to load the app manager
    Load the priiloader
