    Wiimote Battery

Just wondering, what kind of batteries does the Wiimote use and what kind (if any) come with the console?
Also, how does one recharge them?

Each remote uses 2 standard AA batteries (included with each remote). You can use rechargable AA batteries if you want, but there is no built in recharging mechanism, you'll need to use your own charger.

I think a charger system is being developed. It would probably be a good investment when it is.

Chargers are no problem for me. Taking them out is a bit of a hassle but I can deal with it. I hope someone would make a charger stand so the Wiimote looks smexy even while charging. XD

If you decide to use rechargeable batteries you must only use Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. You will need two AA batteries per Wii remote. I recommend the Rayovac Hybrid series which can be purchased off of Ebay or in Target.

Various people claim that 2 AA's batteries work for approx. 20 hours.

I still think it's best to invest in a charger though.

I just bought two sets of wireless mouse/keyboards and if I'm going to get the Wii I'll need to go shopping for quite a bit of rechargeable batteries then. :P

I'll pick some rechargables up at target one day.
