    Question Can I Softmod of 4.2 system WITH Drivekey?

    Hi,

    Dunno if its an issue, but better ask 1st b4 doing something that I could regret...Can I use the tutorial of softmodding 4.2 systems while having my Drivekey attached to my Wii????? If not, should I remove it physically from my Wii, or can I just disable it from a settings or whatever???

    Thx in advance

    Yes, software modifications will not interfere with hardware modifications. The use a cios and special loaders to run.

    Question

    OK, I followed the guide on softmod and the games that were not working with just drivekey still dont work. Dunno if the ISO I burned from or whatever, but I was wondering if I should disable the drivekey when using Neogamma or something. ANyway, Im going to try using USB loaders, but I got no external hdd to test with. will have to find something here in Japan....

    * EDIT *

    Also, I grabbed a external HDD from a friend, Buffalo 1.5TB but it has only 500GB free and I wonder if I can create a WBFS partition in that remaining space without losing all data....??

    * EDIT *

    List of settings

    OK ppl, managed to get things working here....it seems it was my fault......

    I just messed with NeoGamma`s configs and some games r now working....

    I'll get the details on configs to post here so ppl with same problems can save themselves

    For now, lemme c if NSMB works

    * EDIT *

    OK, here is what allowed me to play almost all games:

    Boot Lang: English
    Force Video: NTSC480p
    Patch Video: All
    VIDTV Patch: Yes
    Patch Country Str.: Yes

    Although I do understand Japanese I feel more comfortable with English, also Patch Video, VIDTV Patches and Patch Country Str. I got no clue what they are but since I left it like that and almost all games ran I trust its fine . Also, for Mario Galaxy I got weird buzz sometimes and Diabolik Original Sin doesnt display the video but I can hear the sounds and suchs, I tried all combinations of this config and none of them allow me to c the game, just hear it....

    I looked into the problematic list but nothing there for DIabolik, but searching the forums I found other ppl with similar problem, and someone said that maybe if u had a PAL/NTSC TV it would work, anyway, Im happy with all other games working now.

    Also, some games inlcuding NSMB and Pikmin will crash if I leave them in the Wii and reboot or Power up, so after playing I always remove the DVDs form the Wii, just for safety. When Im going to play I head to Neogamma and after it starts I then put the discs, its working well so far.

    TY all

    * EDIT *

    Anyway I read everywhere I should install Priiloader, is it safe with my Syscheck? And what about Hermes and suchs? If Im to play from my external HDD it seems necessary to have this last one...

    glad it worked for now.
    there is no need to format the whole drive to wbfs, as you can turn your game isos in . wbfs files and put them on a fat32 or ntfs drive (fat32 see below). usbloadergx can handle ntfs drives

    <--suggestions helped? press Thanks

    OK, how do I do with NTFS then? That 1.5TB Buffalo HDD is NTFS and I got a lot of ISOs in there? do I just convert the .ISO in .WBFS? If so, which program does it?
