Need help connecting Component Cables to a non-hdtv
Need some help with an interesting situation...
So all I have are component cables but my buddies Sony TV is not an HDTV so all he has is composite input (The Yellow Cable).
I drove to all the radioshacks and best buys in tha rea, and no one has the standard composite cables!
Guys, is there a way that I can output just composite video through one of the RGB cables and use the others for audio?
Basically the TV only has a jack for yellow(video) and red+white for audio.... Stupid Wii has a proprietary connection...
How can I make this work?
Go to Fleabay and buy Wii composite cables, that's how.
Right, but I wanted to play it tonight ...
Depending on your time zone and location, there's always Game Stop.
Did you try Walmart or another 24 hour retailer?
Thanks guys, my local gamestop had a universal cable. I just thought there might haave been a away to use the component cables as a standard composite.
Yes there is. Some much newer TV's have a setting in the component section to turn one of those components into a standard composite input. You probably don't have one of those TV's though.
