Priiloader ES_Identify failed
I was finally able to get my wii upgraded to v4.1U, and everything was going well until i had to install priiloader which then gave me this error:
ES_Identify failed, error 4294966279. ios58 not patched with ES_DIVerify? using cios (holding b and then pressing + or -) will probably solve this.
NOTE: you need CIOS for this.
Do you wish to continue?
I hit yes then it says unable to move the system menu, aborting mission. I followed the directions exactly from the New 3.1-4.1 Softmod guide on here so i don't know why this is happening.
I had this with mine sometime again go back through as when i did it i missed patching ios60 and 70
following guide on here http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html
4. UPDATE YOUR SYSTEM MENU VERSION
Warning - If you don't install the patched IOS60 first you will brick!
This step is optional unless you are on 3.1, 3.3 or 3.4 in which case you must update, if you are on 3.2 or 4.0 you can update if you want and it is recommended that you do, if you are on 4.1 there is no need obviously! If you are on 3.1 you will have to update to 4.0 first, make sure you install the patched IOS60 first though still. Before you update to 4.1 make sure you have at least 250 blocks free or you will brick, install IOS60-patched first with Wad Manager using IOS249, then run Firmware Updater 4.1. If you are on 3.3 or 3.4 then you must update now - DO NOT install priiloader until you have updated as it will cause untold problems!.
hope this helps
That was the guide I was following actually lol. I installed IOS60 with Wad Manager v1.4 using IOS249, and ran Firmware Updater 4.1 with no problems but I'm still getting the same problem installing priiloader. Also, I forgot to ask in my post, if i just skipped the priiloader part of the install and went to part (d) in step 5 would my wii be protected from disk updates/ bricking with just IOS50 ("...and IOS50 to help prevent disc update bricks." -from the guide) or do you guys recommend getting priiloader. And thank you for your help/reply.
