Here is "Pimp My Wii", an homebrew that will install missing and outdated titles from your Wii console.
The program will detect missing or outdated IOS and check that you have the latest version of the Wii System Menu. It also checks if you have the latest versions of BC, MIOS and those channels : Wii Shop, News, Weather, Mii, Photo and Photo 1.1
If you don't have the latest versions of those titles, the program will download them, or read them from USB or SD to install them. When using this program, you will have all advantages from 4.1 cumulated from those of 3.2, and this without drawbacks ! Since 1.40, it also install cIOS 38 (249, 250) rev 19 and cIOS 202/222/223/224 rev5.
The homebrew is displayed automatically in english or french depending of your Wii's language. It is also compatible with NTSC-U, NTSC-J and PAL Wii consoles. (Korean Wii theoricaly compatibles but IOSes specific to this version will not be installed).
Warning: I do not take any responsibility for any damage in your wii because of a improper usage of this software.
- Added Italian translation. Thanks to Duca and Asper from PalWii
- Fix some code dump during the scan of IOS 249 (with a sleep of 2 seconds).
- Now you need a unpatched IOS 58 for Homebrew Channel instead of an unpatched IOS 61.
- A few memory leak fix.
- Fix the message when selecting an IOS.
Thanks for the update on the newer version, but I do feel the need to add a bit of caution to those thinking of using this program. We have seen many people wander into the bricked wii section due to playing around carelessly with pimp my wii. Nice to have updates on stuff like that, but thought I'd add that in in for those who are unaware of the risks of this program.
Ok no problem, thanks for editing that for me.
After spending countless hours, watching so many different YouTube videos, and reading so many different tutorials, all I can say is that "Pimp My Wii 2.02" was a savior.
I couldn't update my IOSes because I kept getting CODE DUMP errors, and I was going nowhere. Pimp My Wii did a walkthrough, and saw the IOSes that needed updating. I ran the installation after the test, downgraded IOS15, and before I knew it, USB Loader GX was booting, and everything was excellent
I like how Pimp My Wii checks all my IOSes to see if any are outdated or not working, which oddly enough, I did have one not working from a prior tutorial.
Yeah, I wasn't sure if this was safe enough to use, but I went ahead and did it, and have been very, very happy since!
I don't know why you guys don't like this app, I can't get enough of it. I have modded out 5 of my friends Wii's using your wonderful guides (thanks wii hacks) and then I always finish with Pimp my Wii to install all the updated IOS's
As long as you don't go screwing around with commands in this app that you don't understand, you will have no problem. I give it a major 2 thumps up!
P.S. do you wii hack admin have something against the developer of this app or something? serious question. Cause I love it.
