    Smash Bros. Brawl

Now I hold this game responsible for killing my lens in the past...but what I want to know is how many GBs this game has in order to transfer it to a USB drive , it's clear to me it's not your average wii game, as for some reason it takes a lot more to load than normal wii Discs.

    7.93 GB for NTSC/JAP
    7.85 GB for PAL
4.38 GB for the modified DVD5 version (movies ripped etc)

im pretty sure that ssbb is supposed to be written on a dual layer disc, since the file size (around 8 gb) won't fit on a regular dvd

No need for that, I bought a 225GB Transcend HDD, and it works perfectly, also the size is actually 6.93 GB instead of 7.93, but that's not important anymore I guess..

I burned SSBB to a Verbatim single layer using ImgBurn @ 4x, after modding my brotherinlaw's Wii. It appeared to run fine, but I didn't play very long, just loaded it and verified it loaded fine. I extracted it from my HDD using wbfs gui. It was a direct rip if that makes any difference.
