Gamecube Backup Launcher 0.2 Problem
Hi, I'm new on the forums here, though I've been silently reading several of the threads here, and I have a problem with the GC Backup Launcher 0.2 app. It seems, that when I launch it, the logo appears, and I hear the disc drive loading (i believe), but then a black screen appears and I have to restart my Wii. I have read other threads, and have installed the mios patcher (i'm using v8) and CMios rev 3. I haven't found any threads regarding this problem, by using Google, and I am sorry if I may have skipped a page with a resolution.
However, when i launch Neogamma R9 Beta 8, I am able to go to a screen that says GC Backup Loader 1.1 and there are several options to choose from, and I am able to launch my backup games (LoZ: Wind Waker, Batallion Wars).
My question is, why does it work with Neogamma R9 Beta 8, but not my GC Backup Launcher .2? I am using 4.2U (softmodded) and i have installed the things stated above. I can live with it not working, but I just would like to know if anybody knows why. Again, I'm sorry if i skipped a thread :[
Also (sorry), my original gamecube games will still work with the above things installed.. Am i correct?
Thank you so much for the support, if any, and I appreciate you all taking the time out of your busy day to help me out. :]
Forget about that GC backup launcher, WiiPower has been doing some work with reguards to launching GC backups. Check out this link
If you installed priiloader, then you will need to turn off region free gaming in the priiloader setting, so you can still play GC retail discs. Or you could rip a copy and play the backups.
You cannot skip the introduction so easily.

There are two different routes that you can choose for modding your wii. You can either Hard-mod your wii with mod-chips or you can Soft-mod. On the Flip-Side you can soft-mod you wii using only a SD Card... The guides that are here have been tried and tested and do work... DON'T FOLLOW FAIL-TUBE VIDS.... The first step that you need to do is find out what system menu version your wii is. After you find out that piece of information there are two guides that you can use.
If you are on 3.1-4.1 system menu you can use the guide by dogeggs: [[Guide]]
If you are on the 4.2 system menu the you can use the guide by Shadowsonic2: [[Guide]]

Is it because I already have the mios v8, installed, because after I load the ios, I get the message to install patched MIOSv4. Anyways, Neogamma R9 B8 works well with me. Just another question; What is the GC Backup Loader when you launch a GC game in Neogamma R9 B8? I'll look around for it, right now, and by the way thanks for the very fast post compared to my reply :S
