    Installing usbloader gx

    Hello,

I'm having a problem with USB Loader GX. I downloaded your files for USB Loader GX and copied all the stuff from the folder "for sd card" to my SD card. Then I inserted the SD card in my Wii, started the Homebrew Channel and there was nothing in the HomeBrew Channel screen except for a blue background with some bubbles. Am I doing anything wrong?

    Thanks for your support

P.S.: Yes I searched for a solution in WiiHacks but couldn't find it...

Just make sure it is set-up like this.

    sd:/apps/usb loader/boot.dol
If it is not inside a folder that is inside the apps folder, that is in the root of the sd card, it will not work. Also sometimes the .dol file needs to be renamed to boot.dol

If it is a wad file, it will need to be in the wad folder and installed with wad manager.

Yes, I have it exactly like that - I:\apps\usbloader_gx\boot.dol.

It's strange because it was Dogeggs himself who left the files like this, so it should work.

format your sd card again fat32 full format or try press 1 in hbc and select sd slot

I formated it and still nothing on the Homebrew Channel, then I pressed 1 in the Homebrew Channel and nothing happened too... The only button that makes something appear in that channel is the "Home" button and it doesn't have any SD card option there.

So the problem was the 4GB SD HC card, because when I used a 2GB SD card the Homebrew Channel detected the apps inside the SD card. Now I have one question: How do I install USB Loader GX? I can only seem to run it directly from the SD card and can't install it. I have read the "ReadMe" file and I'm still clueless. Oh, and the Homebrew Channel doesn't show me those WAD's john28200.

If you've already softmodded your wii in the past then follow this:

    else follow this:

You should really start a new topic for this though rather than jumping on the back of another one
