Any homebrew apps that don't require CIOS?

Well the title explains it. I'm looking to find any apps out there that will backup a Wii game via Homebrew either to usb or wifi without installing a cIos. Even after reading the guide on how they work, I'm paranoid that Nintendo will deliberately throw a high numbered cIOS to brick the Wii. I am a bit more comfortable in installing one but would rather not risk it if I didn't have to. Any help would be appreciated.

Um, do you know what a cios is?
Homebrew doesn't require them to work and nintendo installs stubs to counter homebrew and other forms of softmods.

I have a good idea of how the cios works and yes it isn't required for homebrew. But there are apps that I've found that require them to backup a Wii game and I was looking for any out there that do not require a cios.

Look, guy --- follow our guides. This subject of late has been beaten to death. You won't find any modern home brew software that'll work w/o a cIOS.

Ok you are talking about something different. You are not talking about apps that are represented on the wiibrew.com site.
Anything to do with backup, creating or reading them from the wii, will require a cios.
Any of the stuff on the official wiibrew site for homebrew, should not in most cases.
Yes those apps can be used and accessed from the homebrew channel, but they don not represent the concept of what homebrew is supposed to be.
