Can you add files to external hard drive for homebrew?

The question seems confusing and quite possibly silly. But i recently lost my SD card reader and was wondering if I can download files I need to play games like monster hunter 3 to my external hard drive? Hope that clears anything up.

Not sure why the other poster linked you to Wiiflow. Anyway just make an apps and wad folder in the root of your HD and use it the same way you would the SD card. ( you need a FAT32 partition on your HD and not all HD's will work)

Open HBC and press "1" on your Wii Remote and it will bring up the option to load your apps from USB.

I guess since you decided to ask in a different thread, I will close this.
