    Disc Error After DriveKey Install

Hello. Today, my DriveKey, screwdriver and controller turned up, and I set about hardmodding my Wii. first, the screwdriver was crap, and wrecked 2 of my screws (which I had to drill out!).

I followed the video tutorial on this website, and set the DriveKey up exactly as indicated. The Wii boots up fine, and will sit in the main menu happily. I tried burning a game on a disc I had, but didn't know the brand or write speed etc. (I just wanted to make sure the Wii drive worked). It span up the drive when I insterted the game, but then I got this error:

"An error has occurred. Press the Eject button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting."
'Ok', I thought, maybe that DVD I used was naff or whatever. So I tried to enter the DriveKey menu, which I'm told involves pressing eject 3 times, then going to the Disc Channel, and it'll load up a Gamecube 'Disc' which is the config menu.

I did this, and went to the Disc Channel. Both the disc icons 'span' around, then I got the same message.

Does anyone know what is wrong? I am a total noob to both modding, and the Wii in general, so please imagine you are talking to a moron

Hmmm, well, I managed to go through the process of Softmodding my Wii, and as far as I can tell, it works with both DVDs and a USB flash drive (I tried Monster hunter Tri, but you need a nunchuck to get past the first screen, which I don't have). I am getting Mario Kart soon (which I am told does not need a nunchuck) to confirm it's working.

The fact that my Wii can load a DVD shows it's not a problem with the Wii, but with the DriveKey. I have removed it from the Wii (I think it was making the Wii freeze too. At least, it hasn't frozen since I removed it!), and I have contacted the seller, The Hanger Shop. They did fast, free delivery, but it's not much praise when the items you buy are either rubbish (in the case of the screwdriver), or don't work.

Edit: It works with Mario Kart.
