    Media streaming

    So this section of the forum is dead quiet and seems to be forgotten about.

    I'm getting myself an iPod Touch in a few weeks and one feature I would really like is the ability to play streamed media such as videos and music over my home network, something like with Wii Mplayer_CE/WiiMC.

    I've explored a few apps such as Tversity (needs to transcode the whole video before it plays) and Air Video (not much info on it)

    I am wondering if there was any other apps out there that would give me a good result? iPod Touch will be jailbroken. Video will be a mix of avi and 264 encoded stuff.
    Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

    Just gonna try an app on my iphone and ipod touch called uwatch, will give u a review on it asap

    Uwatch is a good one do far. I've Been using it for two weeks now to download movies. For streaming I use orb. I find the server to be less taxing on my CPU then airplay
