    Monster Hunter Tri compatability

I have used the search function and I cannot find any specific answers to my question. I have a 4.1U wii, softmodded with homebrew for brawl+ purposes. I modded a long time ago with the twilight princess method. My question is, will the American version of Monster Hunter Tri that is released on April 20th 2010 be compatible with my wii? I am not downloading it, I am purchasing the product. I do not wish to update my wii, due to the chance it will brick. I just want to know if I will be able to play monster hunter tri without any problems, and also if I will be able to play online without any problems. Thank you very much for your time!

The update partition on disc comes with System Menu 4.1 and several IOS. The game itself uses IOS55 v5149 to run.

In all likelihood the disc will ask for an update so the wise thing to do would be to block them with Priiloader.

Alright, I have preloader or priloader..I don't know which for sure. I was able to play the new super mario bros wii game by loading it through gecko os, would that work here as well? What will be the general fix for this?

It should just work, provided you block the updates. Messing around with loaders should not be necessary if you have your Wii set properly.

How do I block the updates? I am not very knowledgeable on the homebrew apps. I have bootmii to provide my wii with protection from bricking and what not, and I have homebrew and gecko os for brawl +. Other then that I don't really know what I am doing. Thank you for your help though, I appreciate you taking the time haha.

Teal'C answered your question on post #2 --- Priiloader. WiiJohn has a guide in the Recommended Guides section on this tool.

okay, but if I already have BootMii installed and working, have I already installed preloader? It says don't install it if I have modded IOSs, which I think I do.

Edit: I looked into it a bit more, I have BootMii with boot2 installed. I think there is a way to bypass updates with it, but I don't know for sure. So if monster hunter needs an update, it won't require a wii system update to achieve it? And online wont require a wii system update either?
