Seagate Free Agent 1.5TB HDD Not loading with Wii

So had a Seagate 1.5TB partitioned for the Wii at 650gb, then realized it wasn't enough... So what I did was buy another one from walmart, then partitioned it at 1TB for the Wii, cloned it and returned the old one....

I have never had issues with this setup.

Now when I press the Power button and load USBLoader, the HDD is not recognized. Until I unplug it and replug the power cord.

Then it loads up just fine and plays for hours!

With the other 1.5tb it would load without any problems...

    Odd, any ideas?

    Thanks guys.

Heard some people having issues with this. It seems that some drives need to be plugged in like that for them to work.

No solution that I have read.
    Damn I suck!!!!

I might just buy another one and recloned and return, and try my luck again....lol

My drive is a 300gb Lacie (not on the compatability list as of yet) The only way to get that to load is using wii flow loading through ios 222 then waiting for the screen saying no usb device detected and switching the hdd on then and all loads up fine.

That problem was taken care of a few months ago with USB Loader GX. But somethimes with that loader, what once worked with an earlier version may get broken in an update, then it will get updated again and fixed. Are you using a Seagate FreeAgent Desk, I have a 500GB version of that Seagate series of drives and would not recommend it to anybody because of that problem. I use Configurable USB Loader and it works every time. But you have the 1.5TB version which may be different that the 500GB model.

If you updated your GX that may be the problem, try reverting back to a version that would boot your HDD.

Exclamation 1.5tb Seagate Free Agent Desk Drive Not loading with Wii

I have a 1.5tb Seagate HDD that has been working for months then all of a sudden it wont load when I boot into USB Loader GX unless I unplug and replug in the power supply. Once booted it works great I can play games exit then reload USB Loader and no problems but once I turn off my system it wont boot back in unless I unplug the power supply, I have tried downgrading and I have tried reinstalling Hermes 222 and no luck. I thought it was a problem with my USB port on my Wii but it loads other drives just fine. I am ready to rip my hair out so any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

1.5tb Seagate Free Agent Desk Drive Not loading with Wii

Well it doesn't seem accurate to say its just a Seagate thing considering that it was working before, and now it just stopped. I have tried downgrading USB Loader GX and it seems like it doesn't make a difference. Does anyone know if the WD My Book's are still working fine?

I have this same problem with having to unplug and plug the power to my 2T seagate Freeagent hard drive to get wiiflow to recognize it. If I power off the wii and then try to restart the wii and wiiflow if does not recognize the hard drive. This is a real paiin. Does anyone know the fix or where else I can look. Thanks PS The hard drive is like 26 days old and Staples wont take it back
