Alright, so I decided to lay off the shop channel idea and pursue something different. And now I have another problem. >.< Seem to be full of them lately.
I have a retail copy of rockband I am trying to play, but the instruments do not work. I plug in the USB Mic into one usb and the guitar / drum connector in the other (drum connector into the guitar > guitar connector (dongle?) into the wii usb.)
The blue lights flash on the dongles, I connect the guitar and drums and the blue light around the drum / guitar icon on the controllers light up, but not one of the four player indicatior lights ( I think that's what you call them, the four lights that tell you player 1, 2, 3, 4)
The wii doesn't recognize in the game that any of the instruments are plugged in. Always tells me to plug in a mic when trying to play solo quick play.
I should add that the instruments worked fine until I tried to install IOS61 for Shop Channel v18, and installed, uninstalled, installed, uninstalled, etc. trying to get shop channel to work.
Have installed cIOS56-64-v5146-rev14 from another post here that I hoped should work, but no go.

4 - Select to Install Custom IOS 222 and select Use IOS38 merged with IOS37
5 - Wait for download and installation to complete
6 - Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer again
7 - Select IOS249 "again" to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A
