    My first unbricked wii

    I unbricked my first wii with infectus and i am really chuffed, a lot of work and problems but finallly done it, thanks to everyone for all the help, specially erikie (you helped me a lot mate, cheers)

    Anyone having problems with the formatter tool installing the ios's just delete the eula out of the wad folder then everything installs as it should

    Back on ebay for this one now and get another

    @Knight of the lake, do it you know you want too lol, the hardest part is attaching it to the wii, everything else is just moving wires around until you get a good compare (i used solderless vias), once thats done write blocks 0-7 if you have the right boot1 and thats it, wii boots use formatter tool to get a sys menu then what i did was update to 4.2e (stupid i know) then install HBC, even though i am on 4.2 bootmii is still at boot2

    Buy an infectus and try yourself, its the soldering part people dont want to do, i didnt so i used the vias and ide data cable wire, took me longer but got there in the end, it was a challenge

    Was your wii under warranty before you bought infectus?

    no i bought it from ebay as faulty just to see if i could fix it

    I will have to do more research on the Infectus...

    whats this solderless vias you speak of g1r9a6d8y? Its the soldering which has me most worried ahah

    Why don't you format again then? If you don't want 4.2 just re-format and install what you want. That is the nicest thing of the formatter.
