Please help, I think my Wii died

I have a PAL Wii with a D2Pro9 v2, everything worked perfectly. I was trying out this new region changer by Tona, more specifically changing the video mode to NTSC, which is more convenient for me, and that too worked perfectly. Incidentally, it reminded me that, since I formatted the system memory, I never got to reset the console to 60 Hz display, so, after I was through with the app, I went along and did it. Big mistake. The screen freezes black and this loud screeching sound comes from my speakers. Nothing responds anymore and the only thing left for me to do was to pull the plug, literally. However, it doesn't power up anymore, it's connected, but no red light in sight. It acts like it's not getting any power. No one else seems to be having any problem with this piece of homebrew, and in fact neither did I. I imagine changing the video mode had something to do with what happened, but I don't get how setting it to 60 Hz could result in the console's demise, specially since I had done before, and my display supports it.
I'm doing my best to keep it together, any suggestions would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear about your wii trouble. As you can't power it on, have you tried checking the power connect by opening up the wii to see if it somehow got fried.
