Loading scrubbed iso to HD on Mac issues
I promise I have tried, for 3 days, to search for the answer both here and through Google... seems like the closest answers for this are for PC users.
I have 4.2u and successfully soft-modded, run USB loader GX with a Maxtor HD. I use WBFS Manager for Mac (OS X 10.5.8) to upload onto the HD, and most of my iso's have worked splendid. However, I have found a few online that have come up pre-scrubbed, and these will not load onto the WBFS drive through the manager. When I "add" them, the queue window pops up for half a second, then nothing happens. One even locked the program up.
Second attempt was made through my PC side with Vista (I have an intel mac), and windows did not even recognize the HD (I am guessing I formatted the non-WBFS partition as a Mac journaled drive, so that could be an issue for Vista). WBFS manager did not find the WBFS partition, so I could not even try to upload on the PC side.
I guess my main question is, are they likely to be bad iso's if they are less than the 4.3+ GB upon un-rar-ing them, or can WBFS Mgr for Mac only import the full iso's, not those that have been pre-compressed/scrubbed?
To further then, is there a way to still utilize these pre-compressed iso's - I can't use a burned DVD with my drive... D3-2 i think it is called (curse you, Ninty!), so only USB or SD are accepted...
Many thanks for reading.
Can't add with Vista either
Update: I tried to add the same compressed iso to my HD with Vista and WBFS mgr... again, no dice. So I am guessing that the files are corrupt, or that because they are pre-scrubbed (end up with 678MB files instead of 4.38GB) once un-rar'ed, they are unable to be loaded with WBFS Mgr.
Is this true? Is there another program that can add them to either the WBFS drive, or even to an NTSC or FAT32 drive? I have several partitions on two HD's, and could re-format if needed. Sorry if this is an obvious question - I have been focusing on Mac answers, but will reluctantly start searching for Vista answers now, too, I guess...
