Can load by USB loader or sd but not any burned disks or DVD

Ok so here's my problem. I have 4.1u softmodded with waninkos CIOS R17, CIOS Corps 3.6, WII Gators MIOS installed, all installed properly. I have never been able to play backup games from a disk loader or disk channel. I cannot play backup WII or Gamecube via disk. I also have DVDx installed I cannot play any DVDs with media player CE. I softmodded my brothers wii and he can play burnt games, we use the same sony dvd-r's and img burn. I can play anything from my USB. Why complain then? You may ask, well because I want to watch a movie sometimes or the fact that I cant play gamecube from USB and I would like to play some backup gamecubes. I have heard that the newer disk drives themselves may not allow this anymore. Is this true? What can I do to play backup gamecube games? Is there a way via USB?

Thanks for the help. I thought it must be something like that, I guess you can order a non-D3-2 for replacement, but I dont like taking apart any machine. I dont have delicate hands. I am good with software though, if you find something on loading from usb or sd, for gamecube that would be awesome and apriciated, thank you.

Hello, I am newbie here and I have the same problem as the OP. I can play my games from USB / SD but not on disk. I wen to widrives site to check my serial. This is what I got:

Your drive most likely has the following chipset:
There is a 50% chance the chipset is GC2-D2C2 (v2) and the drive has the new metal clip.
And there is also a 50% chance the chipset is GC2-D2C (v1).

I tried NeoGamma r9 and USB Loader GX but the screen just goes black and there is ticking sound on the wii disk kind of like its looking for a disc track or something. Had to powerdown the wii to get out of it.

    Any ideas? ....

Oh in case you need more info on my system. here is a syscheck dump
