Why upgrade to 3.0 if working fine?

I have just bought the Wasabi DX and to be honest do not know what version of firmware is on there as I dont know how to check (If you do it would be helpful to know?)

The current options that I have are limited to 3, does it offer more oprions?

I have a PAL Wii with the DX, it will play PAL backups but not NTSC, any ideas?

Other than the questions above and other than to have the current firmware is there a reason to upgrade and what are the upgrades as I cant find any information on this anywhere.

By the way i am on 3.4e on the Wii.

    Thanks in advance

the firmware update is needed to play games like NSMB, it adds the BCA support check at offset $100, so any new games that require BCA information can be patched at address $100 and will load fine.
