    Newbie in Australia

    Hey all,

Kinda new to all this and live in Australia. Trying to find out what the general rule is on softmods in relation to the model numbers here in Australia.

Are there models that you cant not softmod and what is the best mod to use.

Also what are the chances of bricking the console?

And lastly can I continue to do Nintendo updates as they come available without bricking the console?

    Any help would be great

There are no models you can't softmod. The best softmod option is the BannerBomb since this requires nothing else than an SD card and a Wii (best is with Internet connection.) There are some models who can't read backups. Please use Wii Drive Chip Database to see which driver chip version you might have.

You always have the chance to brick the Wii. A power failure is in a little corner.

And lastly, if you softmodded your Wii, DON'T UPDATE. It will destroy your homebrew and it will become a lot difficulter to softmod.
