Success! 5th generation 30 gig IPOD as WBFS partition for USB loaders - GUIDE

These are the steps as follows

connect Ipod to pc Format FAT 32

Run Itunes and assign the device a name

    Close Itunes

Format the Ipod in wbfs manager

    Disconnect Ipod from pc

    Put Ipod into Disk Mode

    Plug into the Wii

    Run preferred Backup launcher

If the Ipod does not show up on the wii Power down the pod completely then up again, , it may be necessary to power off everything completely, the Wii as well

    Tested Multiple times and working!

    May work with other Ipods

Boot 2 enabled wii updated to 4.2 U - followed 4.2 guide - http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tem-menus.html NOTE: we stopped after finishing part C8

I would Imagine so but we didn't try as the ipod in question has broken sound output, we don't want to push our luck.

Thanks for the post but For whatever reason I get stuck when I try to format the Ipod it either says that the disk is in use or an error occured. I have checked task manager and no apple programs are running but still it will not format the drive. Any ideas? I have a 5th Gen 30 Gig Ipod

    Ca

I tried to format it as WBFS with the manager 3.0, but it fails and an error occured .. I previously formated it as FAT32 and renamed it in iTunes. It's a 4th generation tought.
