Which is best to do on my new 4.2u soft mod or hard
that would be entirely up to you.
I would suggest you need a certain amount of basic electronic skills to do a hard mod ( personally soldering irons and me do not get on very well)
I think a hard mod would be more stable but you cant make a mistake 1st time round.
I think I would be right in saying a soft mod would be less stable but if you do it right it will work fine.
Mine is a 4.2e soft mod and works great with wii ware and a usb loader.
I have a 4.2U soft mod Wii that plays burnt dvd games, usb games, and EHD games. Its free and it is fun to do. It allows you to try more then once if you make a mistake and did I mention its free...? Choice is yours though I agree...Cheers!

I am sure it will work on yours if you follow it carefully.
GAF's Wii Homebrew Tutorial: Welcome to GAF's Wii Homebrew Tutorial
It sounds like you have the wrong bootmii version
Go through this tutorial very carefully step by step and be sure to download every thing you need.
Have your pc running as you are doing it.
Take care when you are renaming folders and directories on your sd card.
Take extra care using the NUS downloader to get your wad files.
Slowly go through it and you will be free wii 'ing in no time.
It takes about an hour or so to do it from scratch.
The main key to this is STEP BY STEP AND READ CAREFULLY.
I promise you it will work.
One tip regarding wads. Download them with your pc before hand instead of letting the wii do it during the install.
I have tried it both ways and via the wii I had incomplete downloads and it failed.
Read it over a few times before you start and familiarise yourself with it.
Just hit thanks if I have helped you.
Don't take me to court if I fail you....
aight cool thanx nah dont know morris code but im gonna try this tut if it dont work i guess ill be a gamefly customer.
Does WiiConnect have to be turned off
You should turn it off to avoid interference with the modding process.
Correct. Turn it off. That should be mentioned in any guide as well...Cheers!
