    Dvd Player for wii

Can anyone tell me what is the best DVD player to download to the wii?

Is there a program that does like the usb loader where you can insert a DVD and copy it to the hard drive to be played back.

search through wiibrew.com is your best bet. You never know what you'll find there.

Haven't heard about ripping dvd's through the wii, but you can play them fine with MplayerCE

Ya I figured that would be to good to be true, I have searched alot of apps but havent seen anything so I thought I would just ask here.

It sure would be a great if this was possible its so simple and quick to do with games, maybe somebody can come up with a program that can do this.

So do you just play the disc through the wii or do you use it to load a movie on a hard drive to watch.
If using the wii rom could that cause premature ware on it, if that was the case I would just stick to using a dvd player.

It would probably be best to just use a proper dvd player if you have one around, depending on how old your wii is dvds probably could cause some un-needed ware

It's "so quick" because you're not actually copying 4.37gb of data to your HD; that's hardly an accurate or fair comparison.

And since it was never really designed to play dvd movies the way it was designed to play wii games. It has a hard time just playing .vob files even when modified.
