WAD Manager on 4.2u "getting error ret-1"

Hi, I just wanted to say I appreciate all the help I get from this forum. I am a professional audio engineer, that loves detail and I will provide it for you as you have for me...

So I have bannerbomb, homebrew channel and the package from this tutorial up and running..
I have also tried the package from this tutorial.

I have only tried the first tutorial link since it does not use wad. but no luck.
I want to try the second tutorial link but it uses wad instead of dop installer.

I try to follow the directions but when I go to wad manager I get to the part where I need to select the sd card. When I hit a I get to another part where I need to select the sd card again. This is where I get an error.
I have tried many different versions of wad but I keep getting the error.

I have tried different sd cards and my system is 4.2u. On the first link I provided I got threw all the steps using the dop iso thing. But I still can't get these games to work.

Does anyone know what I could do in order to get wad to work?
Or could I just use the dop iso thing to get threw the process to load up the games from my WD 1TB Hard drive?
I have it formatted right and I have tried powering it on and off at different instances of the wii menu.

Thanks in advance for the help! If you need any additional info please let me. know.

I am having exactly the same issue. I am running 4.2u also.

Just so you know TheLaw...If you search for a program called ImgBurn you can use this program to burn DVD-R (make sure its a minus R) and I use Memorex DVD-R's which work great. Burn the iso file to the disc, install DVDx which can install through the files on your SD card that you used to install homebrew. Then go to HB channel and open NeoGamma, insert your disc and you're playing. It's just easier to install wads. I still would like to know how to get Wad Manager working in 4.2u though.

    Hope this helps.
