wpa2 keys help needed
I have a existing wireless network and would like to add a Wii to it.
The problem I have come across is my key requires a pipe symbol "|". The router will only recognize the vertical bar, pipe symbol. There is a difference, at least in encryption between the broken bar (¦), and the vertical bar (|), pipe symbol. Is there another way to enter the wpa keys into the Wii? I have tried different combination's, but cannot generate a pipe symbol using the Wii's on screen keyboard. I don't want to change the keys due to the large number of other wireless devices already working. Any help?

I only have a few ideas. Not saying they would work, but maybe worth a shot. Have you tried using \, /, or . May work, because the vertical bar symbol is used as a divider. Also, if you really don't want to change your key maybe buy a keyboard?

The encryption key sees anything other than the accurate symbol as wrong and rejects access. but I will look into the idea to purchase a keyboard if there is no other workaround. Thanks

I have used 2 different regular usb keyboards and they worked fine.

Using the usb keyboard just mirrors the onscreen wii keyboard. In other words if the key does not exist on the wii it does not recognize it. At least thats what has happened so far using a usb keyboard.
