Thread: Current state NAND backup?

    Us Current state NAND backup?

I am new at this so bear with me. I have searched for this and not found the answer I am after.

I have soft modded my Wii and everything seems to be working fine.

I backed up my NAND as instructed during this mod.

I am on 4.2U, Bootwii as ios.

Question: If I was to make a new backup of the NAND, would all the changes (MOD, ios updates etc) I have made be included in this?

I was thinking along the lines of a drive image of a PC. If the Wii were to brick I could use this to get back to the last working stage.

Would restoring the last NAND backup (only in the case of disaster) bring me back to the last pre-bricked stage?

I want to learn as much as possible and these questions popped into my mind.

Yes, it functions similar to a pc restore point. I'm not sure that savegames are stored as well, but the mods/apps are.

Yes you can make a nand backup and it will be simular to a window's restore point in that sense.
