    Backups won't work after updating.

I am having a problem after updating. I was on 3.2U and used http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html guide to update to 4.1U with cios38 rev14 and i updated neogamma to r8b7 so i could play a newer game i recently bought. But my old backup games wont boot in neogamma now. It will say that it cant read disk and says to reboot. I updated everything it said to on the guide. And reinstalled cios38. Any help would be awesome.

Cool That's what I'm afraid of....

That's what I'm afraid of, I'm in v3.1u and I don't want to upgrade. I fear that all of my backups will not work, but still want to play the new games....There has to be a way around all this.

Yea im wondering if i should downgrade back to 3.2 if it is possible, but still want to play new games as well.

Where did you get the idea that your old firmware was the reason your newer games didnt work? Im still on 3.2 and all newer games work on my wii. You need to read guides and use the search feature before starting a rather pointless thread. If you would have read, you would have seen that games dont require a certain firmware to run. They require an ios to be present on the console which you can easily find on this site and download using wad manager. You can have the newest neogamma and cios installed but without having the ios installed, that particular game wont play. Try installing ios 38, 53, 55 and 56 and I bet all your games will work.
If I have helped you in any way, please thank me by pressing the little thanks button.

You are right didnt do enough reading on that. I just read about updating ios's and firmware and you are right. I installed the ios's you said. And i installed cIOSCORP v3.6 and neogamma rev15 as another source of booting backup games other than cIOSCORP. When i put in the backup games they would show up in the disk channel and play the preview but they still say cant read disk. I also tried a dual layer game. That one booted and a real game did as well. Same happend in neogamma.

I tried to install the ios you said but, even thou I have 38 and 56 in my SD card, they don't appear when i try to install them. 53 and 55 are all right. When I try to start my backup an error 349 appears.......

cioscorp does all kinds of things to the ios files, there are bound to be conflicts involved. it is something most of us dont fully understand and have problems with.

I downgraded back down to 3.2. (best for homebrew and unbricking) But now cIOSCORP and preloader are not working. Should i try and reinstall them. Also im thinking that my old backups are bad or something because they werent working at rev9 (after downgrading it brought it down to this, brought it to 14) and my dual layer copied game did.
