Possible: usb loader, ntfs drive, and scrubbed isos?
Im about to get an external drive tomorrow but my research has hit a slight snag.
I would like to use ntfs because its better than fat32 and easier to work with on my pc.
also if i put xvid and misc files on it I can still access from 360 in another room.
On ntfs, which loaders support it? I see configurable can, but how can I scrub a game and get it to be small, like new super mario. I see I can scrub it to 700mb but the iso is still 4.5gb+
Also to save stuff like covers and other apps, they wont write to ntfs so should I have a small fat32 partition for this?
I read up on wbfs partitions but only that they are a hassle and lose the table of contents on occasion.
Also whats the best/safest way to delete an update on an iso and then scrub it?
a loader like usb loader gx rips just the game file out (scrubber) so the file is small, just use a partion manager to make the partions, wd my passport essential is a good usb hdd to get
Well I already have a bunch of the isos from ripping them off the retails on my pc, so I dont particularly like doing this on the system. all the paranoia of frizzin out my 360 drives.
and I know all about partitions since the fat/fat32 days.
I just wanted to have ntfs really for storage and maybe some fat32 for apps, depending on how supported that is. otherwise ill just leave the sd card in.
And I had my eye on the WD passport myself.
I can get a wd 320gb for around $70 last i saw, or I might be able to buy a 500gb seagate for the same. I have to weigh out my choices tomorrow.
depending what loader your going to use mate, use the search button theirs a thread about hdd compatability
im not set on a loader, theres where my question comes in.
which loader plays compressed/scrubbed isos, preferably on ntfs?
nnone of them mate it have to be formated with WBFS Manager 3.0 as the wii will only see the iso on a wbfs drive
I guess your not following up on everything too hard.

Hence my confusion.

The ntfs and fat32 partitions are for the game covers.
Yes and no. Fat32 can be for the game covers.

And I confirmed on my friends drive, iso converted to .wbfs, put into a /wbfs directory on the root of an ntfs partition works fine.
