Thread: How tough to solder?

    Us How tough to solder?

Can anybody compare it to soldering in an XBox modchip? I did a couple of those, but that d0 solder point kicked my ass. Took almost an hour to get a good connection for it each time i did a modchip for a friend, and don't want to go through that again.

How's the Wii chips compare to putting in an XBox chip?

harder..cause theres more points..bout the same size...and then the legs tend to be the hard part for most.

The number of points doesn't bother me. Like I said, most of the points on the XBox were easy. It was just that @#$!@$@ d0 point that was a royal pain.

if you are doing a wiikey install then it should be no problem at all. If you are doing a d2c then if you think you can solder 3 d0 points right beside each other without bridgeing then you might be ok
