    Softmod or Modchip??

    I recently purchased a Wii and wondering is it better to softmod and buy a modchip? I am just looking to be able to play backups and emulators. Also I have a PS3 with a 1TB HD connected to USB to play movies. Can that also be done with the Wii?? Thanks everyone.

    For using the harddrive and saving money, i would softmod. I just set a terrabyte harddrive up for a friend yesterday and it was amazing. Best of all, take a retail game and hit install, and it is now on the harddrive.

    i would prefer a softmod too, u can do all the things u want with softmod. backups,emulators, usb hdd..etc

    That sounds like a great idea, USB external hard drive with all the ISO games on, win-win.

    So - how can I achieve such a thing does the USB hard drive have a menu system where you can choose which game to load?

    I would be very grateful if someone could point me to the tut or instruction on how to set up such a system please?
