    Question about Wii USB Loaders and Video;

    Apologies if this is in the wrong section, I've not posted here before.

    But, I was wondering, is it possible to load video files (movies and the like) off of an external HDD that's formatted to work with Wii Isos? You know, one that's formatted to use WBFS Manager 3.0.

    no, you need a fat/fat32 partition to load videos

    Hmm, alright. Would I be able to just keep the same HDD plugged into the Wii USB, and not have to make one or the other partitions 'active' or whatnot? I don't know a whole lot about it, but I remember I had to make the Wii Iso formatted partition a certain like...primary, and active type.

    Also, if I partitioned and formatted the drive a little more, what sort of program would you suggest I use to load the video from it?

    Thanks much for the help, by the way.

    make 2 partitions, one fat32 and the other wbfs. you can leave the drive connected to your wii since mplayer_ce will only read/see the fat32 partition

    thanks for the info just a couple of questions would you have to make the partitions before you start putting backups on the hdd or can you do it with them already there. Is there a walkthrough?

    if you already have the games on there you can use software like Easeus Partition manager to split your current one and make a new, or you can backup your ISOs wipe the drive an do it through windows.
