Is it in the Wad folder?
I followed the instructions in the full hacking guide for this(or at least i thought i did)... this is the bit im stuck at..
The following are really optional and not needed to play backups. Also mind that incorrect use of them might brick you!! so use with caution!!
D6) This will install a hacked ios70 on the Wii. Please read below very carefully, as you may brick your wii if you dont follow instructions properly. A hacked ios70 is needed for 2 reasons:
a) Allows wiiware and VC games to run through SD card.
b)Allows installation of priiloader, which is the only brick protection you can get if you don't have Bootmii/boot2. It is totally recommended to install priiloader.
Here is how you install ios70:
-Start wadmanager from HBC
-Accept the agreement and with default settings (ios249 & SD card) press A to browse the SD card.
-Find IOS70-64-v6687 [Patched][FreeTheBug].wad and press A
-Make sure you install and NEVER EVER uninstall the ios70! If you uninstall ios70 or any ios lower than 200, your Wii will suffer a slow and painful DEATH!
-Once you are 10000% sure it says , press A to install the file.
-Once it's done, press Home to return to HBC.
-Now you can breath.
The issue i have is I cant find IOS70-64-v6687 on my wii anywhere. I see it is on my desktop from the hack pack(first download). what would be the process to just get that file onto my wii???
I know there is probably a simple solution staring me in the face, but im a scared to do anyfing wrong for fear of a big white paperweight!!
I am a complete novice so apologies in advance.
Is it in the Wad folder?
WAD files need to be placed in the root of the SD-card.
The guide you're following seems a bit wierd tbh. Anyways, as far as i know you need TBR for every application that needs access to and/or install IOSs or cIOSs if it's updated to 4.2, and in order to install them you can either extract them from games or download them with NUSD (And compile the files into a WAD file in the same program).

No it is not in WAD folder. I went into all files und subfiles on wii and it aint there. It was just that i noticed the file on my desk top. so i can only think i must have missed it at some stage to drag onto sd card and load onto wii. I am an absolute beginner so didnt know if it is as simple as dragging file from desktop to sd card, puting sd card into wii, and then doing something to load file onto wii, then i can continue to install priiloader. the preloader box is on my HBC mainpage, but i read the guide as me needing to have this ISO70 file on wii before i attemot to touch priiloader... hope this makes sense
apologies, but i dont understand really understand your answer it needs to be far simpler...think 7 year old language :-(
The best way to handle these packs is to right click and extract to the folder name. then you can go into the folder and select all, then copy, then paste to the sd card. that way all the folders, files and subdirectories are intact.
Sonnellion is mixing up the guide you're following for a different guide which uses Trucha Bug Restorer (TBR). No need to worry about it here.
Read the guides on this site very carefully - the file you're looking for was in the first pack that you downloaded. Look at Part D, step d1 which directs you there. Then scroll up the page and glance at Part A, step A1. The file's in that list. Put that pack on your sd card again and you can proceed.

I didn't mix the two guides, but i wrote that last post poorly thought out >.<
Anyways, the 2nd part of it with NUSD should work if you can't find the WAD for some very odd reason. But it should absolutely be in there somewhere if it is a full package with all the tools needed. But yeah, no worries about TBR. I just thought the trucha bug was needed anyhow :P
Thanks all I got this issue resolved, and now have priiloader installed. Many Thanks
