USB Loader GX rollback to older ver?

I updated my USB loader GX to 866 today and now I got a HUGE green bar running across the bottom of my screen when it tries to find my HDD.

It also takes 20 attempts of plugging/unplugging before it finds my HDD. I think the older version had better compatibility with my HDD.

Is there a way to roll back?

Go to their website and download whatever .dol of the version you want, replace the one you have on your sd card (remembering to rename it boot.dol). If it's a channel then uninstall the wad, find the older version wad and install that.

Was your older version before 749? if so did you update your hermes 222 after you updated to version 4?

goto Revisions (USB Loader GX) download the version you want and unpack it, rename the rXXX.dol to boot.dol and put it at "SD:/apps/usbloader_gx/"

    Done

I canít remember which revision I used previously but I followed this guide:
Wiikend hacks: USB Loader GX tutorial

The rev in that download pack is rev438 and is fairly compatible with my HDD as it only takes 2 tries of plug/unplug before it picks up. But I think there is a bug with downloading CD covers.

Apart from 866 which rev do you guys recommend for system menu 3.4e & cIOS36rev10?

Also I donít quite understand what hermes is, I read a little bit about it and I donít have guitar hero or a USB microphone so I never installed it. So do I need it to increase compatibility with my HDD?
